The Tray menu "Search" bar can be used to dial a number or to search for a contact name within any connected CRM. As such, it acts like a quick "Address Book", especially when you just want to search for and dial a contact.
Dialing from the Tray Menu
To make a call, simply type the number to dial and hit Enter:
Note: The method for dialing is the same regardless of the device that you are using to make the call. However, for some devices the device may receive an inbound call (a "dialback") that you need to answer first before the outgoing call is made.
Contacts can be found by entering characters from the contact name, company or telephone number.
Matching contacts will be displayed – simply click the number to dial, or hover over the contact and use the button on the hover menu to go to the contact within the CRM application.
If you are already on a call, then the dialing method will be used to setup a consultation call instead. Depending on the handset type, the hover menu may offer a consult (green icon) or immediate transfer (blue icon) option.
